The Delaware County Engineer’s office shared more information about the roundabout construction during a meeting on July 14, 2021. You may watch the presentation here. Here are some notes:
Start Date: A date for construction and closures to begin have not been set yet but the office shared it is still set for late-August. However, Liberty Township Trustees have requested the date be delayed until after the St. Joan of Arc’s Festival is occurring August 26-28 and this would greatly impact the ability for us to attend. Liberty Road will be closed from St. Joan of Arc to Torrington Dr.
Neighborhood Traffic: They will have detour signs for through traffic (see image below) and state that local traffic is allowed.
School bus traffic: The school district will inform parents of changes in bus routes and times.
Reopening: Work is scheduled to take 45 days. A late August or early September start would complete mid-October.
