After three hours of discussion the Liberty Township board voted 4-1 to turn down the Epcon Condo proposal. Many LLHOA board members were in attendance along with members of Bainbridge Mills and Wedgewood communities. The density issue which caused great concern for the drainage of the Wedgewood neighborhood was the focal point of the conversations. A reduction in the number of condos being proposed (64) to a number in the high 50’s would have shown good faith bargaining. Belinda Simile, the chair, asked Joel, the Epcon representative, if he would reduce the number of condos. He declined and thus the proposal was voted down. It will be interesting if Epcon does return to the township board with another proposal.
